During his fifty-year career in journalism and public relations, Peter Faur worked for two Lutheran publications before joining The St. Louis Globe-Democrat as an editor, a general assignment reporter, and a religion writer.
During his public relations career, he worked in telecommunications for Southwestern Bell; brewing through Anheuser-Busch’s PR agency, Fleishman-Hillard; chemical manufacturing for Monsanto and Mallinckrodt; and copper mining for Phelps Dodge Corporation. In 2016, he self-published Red Metal, a novel loosely based on the last days of Phelps Dodge, where he served as vice president of corporate communications.
Faur and his wife, Pat, moved to Phoenix in 2003 after living most of their lives in St. Louis. Their children and grandchildren also live in Phoenix.
